~Watching this. (This was showing at work all week and I missed out on seeing it...my boss gave it to me to take home and check out. So far I've heard it's actually a pretty sad movie even though it's called "Happy." We'll see.)
~Going to lunch with two great friends from high school. Specifically, high school Spanish class. Our senior year, we were 3 of the 6 students enrolled in AP Spanish 5. As such, we got to know each other pretty well as we made light of the class and used every opportunity to laugh and gossip. As 3 busy ladies, we've been trying to arrange this lunch since January 2nd. In the typical fashion, January 2nd happened to be the ONLY snowy day of the entire winter. We tried to reschedule...and now we're at July 7th. I guess we should be happy we all have so many work, family and community obligations to keep us busy. At the same time, I really wish we could somehow rekindle those days of goofing off together everyday, all the time. Sigh. Being an adult. The restaurant we're going to is also a restaurant we would go to in high school for Spanish club and the occasional Spanish class lunch. Back to the old stomping grounds!
~Staying cool and longing for vacation next week. 97 degrees AGAIN today? Give me New England, where it's mid-70's all week and next week. I'm pretty sure that will feel like a cold 45 degrees after all this heat and humidity nonsense, but I'll take it.
~Oh, and coloring my hair. How come it isn't well known that redheads go gray (or in my case, white!!) very early? I definitely noticed my first few strands of white (!!!) hair when I was about 26. I started routinely coloring last year because I felt like I kept getting more and more. Everyone (even my hair stylist) assured me that these were just light highlights common to redheads, but I still look at them as evil white hairs that need to be abolished. Does Ree Drummond have this problem too??
